Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention + Updates

Kenai, AK: Workshop with MT Linda Ebeling to earn a teaching certificate for the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention form (Tai Chi for Health Institute). It is a safe and easy-to-learn program proven to relieve pain and improve health and balance. It is recommended by the CDC (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), National Council on Aging (NCOA), and by Arthritis foundations and health departments all over the world. SERVICES

Alaska is a huge state with a relatively small population that is dispersed in isolated communities. There is growing awareness that Tai Chi is beneficial for health, but its use by Alaskans is limited through a lack of qualified instructors and the inability of potential teachers to receive training outside of their community.

  • Tai Chi and Qigong Classes, presentations, and demonstrations

  • Alaskan point of contact for Tai Chi for Health programs

  • Assist local groups to organize and host certification workshops and enrichment events

  • Offer skills builder workshops to interested communities throughout Alaska

INSTRUCTOR

Sarah has been practicing tai chi and qigong since 2015. Initially drawn to these practices for stress relief, she soon became a board-certified instructor with the Tai Chi for Health Institute and became a Senior Trainer to help bring the joy and practice of tai chi to others in Alaska. She teaches a variety of styles of tai chi and forms of qigong, both in-person and online. She is excited to introduce you to tai chi and qigong – a gateway to holistically improving strength, balance, flexibility, and resilience in mind and body. She is available for private lessons, workshops, and classes.
